Position Overview: We are in search of a skilled Buyer.

Location: The role will be situated in Porto Mantovano.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and uphold purchasing planning parameters at the item level to ensure a high service level for production and customer needs while minimizing costs, thereby guaranteeing short lead times and precise delivery for customer orders.
• Oversee inventory management by performing checks to assess inventory status and placing orders based on the MRP system, production forecasts, and approved suppliers/conditions/contracts.
• Examine the MRP report daily and conduct visual inspections of inventory to identify requirements. Place orders and expedite as necessary.
• Facilitate the qualification of new suppliers through the designated portal by providing the necessary documentation as per Donaldson's internal protocols.
• Process order confirmations and monitor delivery timelines.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with Strategic Purchasing according to policy limits to ensure prompt resolution, secure cash discounts, and prevent erroneous invoices.
• Address quality complaints with suppliers to fulfill Donaldson's claims and mitigate non-quality costs.
• Manage plant purchasing reports (PPV, cost savings, supplier OTD) and implement corrective actions as required.
• Request suppliers for HS codes and country of origin for purchased items along with LTS declarations.

Educational Qualifications:

• Technical Diploma or Technical Degree.

Technical Competencies & Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial purchasing, with a solid understanding of technical drawings.
• Proficiency in both Italian and English, both written and spoken, along with strong administrative, organizational, commercial, and PC skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP and/or Oracle systems.
