SPECTRO is a leading supplier of analytical instruments, employing optical emission and X-ray fluorescence technology for elemental analysis in industry, research, and academia.

The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of analytical instruments and associated electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support customers and in-house activities (Sales, Admin, and Operations).
  • Install and commission analytical equipment and associated electrical equipment.
  • Maintain and service analytical equipment and associated electrical equipment.
  • Provide telephone, remote, and email support for customers.
  • Clarify technical issues and support the sales team.
  • Set up tests in the laboratory using demo units and prepare reports.
  • Ensure guidelines and standards of work expected by AMETEK are understood and met.
  • Refer follow-up work requirements to the appropriate staff within AMETEK.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Attend training courses and meetings as required by AMETEK.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or technical high school diploma.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Italy and EMEA.
  • Knowledge in measurement and control technology, ideally with PLC controls.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Preferred experience of engaging with customers in a pressured environment.
  • Computer literate and experience with MS Office, Excel.
