About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Tyvak International SRL. As a key member of our Product and Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality small satellite projects.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quality assurance tasks and activities throughout the program lifecycle, from design to in-orbit operations. You will work closely with our technical teams, customers, and external providers to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and oversight of Assembly, Integration, and Test activities for spacecraft
  • Participation in customer project reviews (PDR, CDR, QAR, etc.)
  • Preparation and management of Key and Mandatory Inspection Points (KIP/MIP) during AIT
  • Development and maintenance of product and quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Tailoring of ECSS-Q standards based on mission-specific objectives and requirements
  • Oversight of PA processes implementation in Program's activities, including internal auditing activities
  • Management of Non-conformances, deviations, critical items control, and Quality records generation
  • Preparation of PA/QA documentation for program reviews (Declared Lists, Nonconformance reports, Mission-Specific PA Plans, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Safety Data Package, etc.)
  • Continuous improvement of Design, Assembly, and Quality Processes and procedures
  • Guide the selection, evaluation, and control of External Providers, and generate Mechanical Parts, Materials, Processes, and Components control processes in accordance with required standards for specific projects
  • Adaptability to work in a small team environment closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems engineers, to ensure effective and efficient processes

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 0-1 years of working experience as PA or Quality Engineer/Officer or equivalent role
  • Bachelor's/MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering, Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering is mandatory with no experience in the role
  • Knowledge of ECSS-Q standards and Quality Standards (ISO 9001, AS/EN 9100, etc.) is considered a plus
  • Familiarity with spacecraft and/or launch vehicle control systems, Small satellite or CubeSat experience, is strongly preferable
  • Familiarity with standard industrial quality control tools, or Atlassian suite is a plus
  • Proficient use of written and oral English language
  • Good communications skills and teamwork spirit
  • Analytical abilities, aptitude for critical thinking, and rigorous attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and stress management skills
  • Availability for short national and/or international travel
  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
