Job Title: Energy Sector Associate

ING Bank NV is seeking a talented Energy Sector Associate to join its Wholesale Banking team in Milan. As a key member of the Energy team, you will be responsible for supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of corporate and project financings, with a focus on Renewable and New Energies transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Originate and execute corporate and project financings, with a focus on Renewable and New Energies transactions.
  • Support the development of marketing and pitch materials for new financing opportunities.
  • Perform risk-return analysis of potential financings and develop/review project finance debt models.
  • Negotiate legal documentation and support drawdowns and closing mechanics in cooperation with back office colleagues.
  • Onboard clients/borrowers, including conducting KYC.
  • Monitor sector, market, and technological developments, building a solid understanding of the Energy sector in close collaboration with cross-border Energy team members.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Economics, Engineering, Math.
  • 5-7 years of relevant project/corporate finance lending experience, ideally in Energy transactions.
  • High level of self-motivation and commercial drive.
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines, preserving quality and good attention to details.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to independently work and build financial debt projection models.
  • Flexible and global mindset.
  • Authentic and confident presentation and communication skills.
  • High proficiency in English (verbal & written).
