Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing HSE procedures and standards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Communicating project safety requirements to site members and ensuring that all site members receive adequate training
  • Supervising site supervision staff activities and ensuring that they are fully aware of safety plan requirements
  • Coordinating the activities of suppliers and ensuring that they are in accordance with the Master Project Schedule
  • Reviewing costs and progress reports and advising the Construction Director and Client Construction Manager of any factors adversely affecting the project
  • Ensuring that all construction activities are completed in accordance with the project and contractual documents
  • Managing the quality assurance process and ensuring that all quality-related documentation is properly executed and maintained
Requirements:
  • BSc in engineering or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
  • High level of field construction experience, typically gained through a minimum of 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant industry
  • Proven experience in the management of office and field construction activities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to manage construction and commissioning personnel covering professional trade and direct sub-contractors
