Environmental Health and Safety Leader

The successful candidate will report to the Site General Manager and be responsible for leading the Environmental Health and Safety Department at our site in Villanterio, Italy. This role will oversee EHS regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and mitigation, as well as the design and implementation of the annual EHS plan. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing EHS information, promoting a sustainable EHS culture, and providing expertise and guidance to employees.
Key Activities- Lead EHS Regulatory Compliance: Provide guidance to site managers and employees, conduct internal and external audits, to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements. Design corrective and preventative action plans.
- Assess and Mitigate Risks: Identify EHS risks and define proactive mitigations. Ensure that site investment and changes in processes, equipment, and systems are carried out in accordance with the concepts of EHS by design and relevant EHS requirements and cGMP.
- Design and Implement Annual EHS Plan: In collaboration with the site leadership team, create, implement, monitor, and update the site EHS plan.
- Monitor, Analyze and Share EHS Information: Provide necessary information and data to site managers and supervisors, Global EHS and other internal and external stakeholders, in order to support the achievement of EHS objectives and enhance Teva's reputation.
- Promote a Sustainable EHS Culture: Create and maintain an EHS culture throughout the site that inspires a proactive attitude and a firm belief that 'target zero' is achievable. Create a space where people can speak openly and are encouraged to present new ideas about EHS stewardship.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in EHS in a chemical or pharmaceutical industry, with a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science-based, and professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or OHSAS.
