About the Role

The HVAC Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous operation of mechanical and electrical systems on mobile and fixed manufacturing equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, high-speed packaging machinery, and related food production machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Troubleshooting and Diagnostic: Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using precision measuring and testing instruments, and repair or replace faulty components as needed.
  3. Installation and Fabrication: Install new machinery and equipment, and fabricate and repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  4. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of equipment, parts, and supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure timely delivery.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment issues and ensure seamless production operations.
Requirements
  1. Technical Expertise: 3+ years of experience working with high-speed packaging equipment and related food production machinery, with a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  2. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and repair skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  3. Education and Training: High school diploma/GED and technical training in electronics and maintenance preferred.
  4. Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
