The Expansion Project Team is engaged in a transformative phased initiative aimed at evolving the current facility into a fully automated, cutting-edge container terminal, leveraging the latest technologies and expertise.

Role Overview

As an integral member of our Expansion Project, the IT Specialist (IT Business Analyst) will contribute to the planning, specification, and seamless integration of IT systems and infrastructure for our future maritime terminal. This role is essential in managing IT systems infrastructure, ensuring effective implementation throughout various project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define functional, technical, and other requirements for the PLT expansion IT system landscape.
  • Identify interface and integration requirements for the PLT expansion IT system landscape.
  • Outline process landscapes, process flows, use cases, including variations and exceptions relevant to the project.
  • Assist in IT project planning, test planning, integration testing, and the go-live phases of different IT systems.
  • Collaborate as part of the IT project management team.
  • Adhere to all safety and security regulations, setting a positive example.
  • Provide support to the department and business unit as needed.
  • Follow corporate authority matrix and compliance guidelines related to contract policies.
  • Proactively report improvement opportunities to direct supervisors.

Candidate Profile

We seek a detail-oriented and process-driven individual capable of engaging with diverse project stakeholders. Experience in specifying and managing IT systems within a production environment is essential, preferably within the port and terminal sector.

The IT Specialist must possess a strong sense of responsibility, as this role is crucial for supporting IT project management in the successful implementation of an automated Container Terminal.

  • Proficient in English (knowledge of Italian and/or German is advantageous).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management, development, and specification.
  • Understanding of port and terminal processes and associated IT systems.
  • Able to work collaboratively within an international team of port-related IT professionals.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to grow within the role.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a deep understanding of IT methodologies.
  • Degree in IT or a related field.

The ideal candidate should hold a valid EU working permit and be prepared to relocate as necessary.
