The Role

The Operations Coordinator serves as the lead operations professional, responsible for managing the operational functions of a store, including Administration, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Shipping/Receiving. This role is critical in elevating the client experience, preparing the ground for sales professionals to excel, and ensuring the store's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Merchandise Management
    • Receive and process merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory levels and optimal client service.
    • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy, including Carnet merchandise and Travel Collections.
    • Lead and coordinate cycle count and physical inventory preparation, overseeing the yearly physical inventory.
    • Process merchandise requests, follow up on special orders, and manage returns.
  • Post-Sales Client Service
    • Provide exceptional client service for all post-sales services, including repair and engraving orders.
    • Ensure timely completion of repair and engraving orders, entering estimates when necessary.
  • Sales and Client Support
    • Assist on the sales floor as needed, providing the Tiffany Experience.
    • Partner with the sales team to process merchandise orders, following established procedures.
    • Assist with planning and coordinating store events, collaborating with Marketing as needed.
  • Administration
    • Manage store supplies, including sundries, packaging, and hospitality.
    • Track and verify daily inventory reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Function as the liaison with facilities and IT, resolving audit issues and managing record retention.
    • Perform daily cashier functions, including accounts payable and cash-related tasks.
    • Act as Security and Health & Safety liaison for the store.
    • Assist in maintaining and implementing operational support systems, such as inventory systems and supplier ordering.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of prior retail experience in operations, with comprehensive knowledge of merchandising, client service, administration, and shipping.
  • Analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work retail store hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to Tiffany & Co. standards, manage project work, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to perform different tasks based on day-to-day business needs.
  • Italian and English speaking abilities are mandatory, with a third language appreciated.
