Job Title: Senior Radio Frequency Subsystem Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radio Frequency Subsystem Designer to join our team at Thales Alenia Space.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Radio Frequency Subsystems for our space missions, including the ExoMars Rosalind Franklyn Mission and the Deep Space Platform study.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specification of Radio Frequency Subsystems, including Telemetry Tracking and Command, Planetary Communications, and Interplanetary Data Relay Systems.
  • Specification and design of electrical and communication interfaces between Communications Subsystem and Data Handling Subsystem.
  • Definition of protocols for Ground communication and link budgets.
  • Procurement of Communications subsystem and its units.
  • Support to Communications subsystem integration and test.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in RF Subsystems design or testing.
  • Knowledge of Analysis and Modeling tools, ECSS e CCSDS standards, and space qualified components.
  • Proficient knowledge of English and ability to work with people from different cultures.
