Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Thales is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Firenze, Italy. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our software development infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement new development tools and infrastructure to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Automate and improve development and release processes to reduce errors and improve customer experience.
  • Ensure system safety and security against cybersecurity threats.
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
  • Collaborate with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes and works as intended.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and automation frameworks, including Python, Java, SQL, Bash, and Go.
  • Understanding of security best practices and ability to automate security testing and updating with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Kubernetes administration and Kubernetes products ecosystem.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure automation toolsets, such as Terraform, Ansible, and command line interfaces for Microsoft Azure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, such as Grafana, Prometheus, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Fluent English language skills.
