Project Coordinator

Applied Materials is seeking a skilled Project Manager Assistant to support our projects in Europe, working closely with the Lead Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to gather information for the Profit and Loss workbook, reviewing and refining it with the customer's Request For Quote.
- Construct the Profit and Loss workbook, defining the cost structure, including effort, travels, licenses, maintenance, risks, and other costs.
- Monitor the approval process and make adjustments based on feedback.
- Build proposal slides for services-related tasks, establishing a high-level project plan, project charter, defining assumptions, out of scope items, resource plan, and risk matrix.
- Work with regional and deployment managers to build the resource plan.
- Create a statement of work based on the proposal and customer purchase order, driving completion within the review and approval process with the PMO team, customer, sales, legal, and management.
- Report progress during weekly internal status meetings.
Project Management:
- Prepare kick-off slides, aligning with the customer on project plan, milestones, and deliverables.
- Create a project plan in MS Project, validating the resource plan with the deployment manager and regional manager.
- Establish project information in SAP.
- Ensure the project remains on track in scope, time, and quality by monitoring project activities and updating the project plan.
- Review the project dashboard, aligning with internal stakeholders and the customer project team.
- Ensure good teamwork for project success, effective communication, and transparency to the organization.
- Control project actuals (effort and travel) in SAP.
- Run project reviews with the customer and monthly reviews with Applied Materials management.
- Create project change requests as needed during the project.
- Organize customer visits during project execution activities.
- Address first-level escalation, prepare and run steering committee meetings.
- Monitor second-level escalation and work with the customer to obtain project acceptance document signatures.
- Prepare and run project closure meetings, reporting progress during weekly internal status meetings.
Role Expectations:
- Regular travels to customer sites (20-50% of the time, depending on activities).
- Good level of project management skills (PMI certification is strongly recommended).
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, SAP, Pert, SWOT, Scrum).
- Master's degree.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
Qualifications:
