About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at Amaris Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications for embedded systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop software applications for embedded systems, with a focus on network communications and code generation frameworks (e.g. ProtoBuf)
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems using standard laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, debuggers, and signal generators
- Contribute to the design and documentation of a product's development cycle, including development, unit testing, refactoring, deployment, and maintenance
- Collaborate actively in the design, development, and testing of software solutions and components
- Utilize advanced skills in C, C++, Python, and scripting in bash, Python, or Perl
- Be involved in the development of security products and the implementation of TCP/IP communication protocols
- Work in a team, manage responsibilities, and have a propensity for creativity
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in C++ with a solid understanding of Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in developing embedded applications, including network communications and code generation frameworks (e.g. ProtoBuf)
- In-depth knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, and Python
- Experience in debugging embedded systems using standard laboratory tools (oscilloscopes, debuggers, signal generators, etc.)
- Experience in developing security products
- Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP communication protocols
- Knowledge of Yocto, Buildroot, OpenEmbedded will be a plus
- Experience in a product development cycle: design and documentation, development, unit testing, refactoring, deployment, and maintenance
- Passion for designing, developing, and testing software solutions and components
- Ability to work in a team, manage responsibilities, and have a propensity for creativity
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
