Salary and Benefits
The Junior Full stack Developer will be based in Lecce Cmcc office and will receive a gross annual salary range of 25-40K Euros. The appointment period will be initially of 24 months starting from December 2024. A welfare package, flexible working time, and support during the immigration process are also included.
Job Description
The Junior Full stack Developer reports to the ROFS Division and is responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of responsive web GIS applications with the aim of visualizing ocean forecasting data.
Responsibilities
- Visualization of GIS data via-web;
- Design, development, and maintenance of web GIS applications and ad-hoc REST API;
- Design, development, and maintenance of backend services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated person with the following requirements:
- M.Sc. degree (or equivalent working experience) in Computer Science, Engineering;
- Knowledge of web services and web application development;
- Knowledge of interaction with and development of REST API;
- Knowledge of main JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, Vue.js or equivalent);
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token and OAuth 2.0;
- Knowledge of backend development (NodeJS, PHP, Python);
- Knowledge of Version Control Management Systems (git);
- Knowledge of GNU/Linux operating systems and Bash scripting;
- Fluency in the English language.
Additional Experiences
Web GIS protocols (WMS, WFS, ...) and servers (MapServer, GeoServer, ...), Knowledge of application containerization (Docker), Object-oriented design, Agile methodologies, Additional programming languages (specifically: Java).
