About the Role

D-Orbit is a pioneering company in the field of space logistics and transportation, established in 2011. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Electronics Systems Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for spacecraft, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless functionality.
  2. Develop technical design documentation for electronic boards, including requirements, design description, and test coordination.
  3. Stay up-to-date with industry and space standards and technologies.
  4. Work with Hardware Engineers and manufacturing teams to develop and sustain current products.
  5. Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, specifications, and test results to comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Identify and select appropriate electronic components for new space applications, considering factors such as radiation tolerance, power efficiency, and durability for use in space environments.
Requirements
  1. At least 7 years of experience in space/avionics industries.
  2. Experience with Altium designer tool.
  3. Experience with Spice simulation tool.
  4. A self-starter with strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
  5. Ability to work in a team and individually.
  6. MSc degree in Electronics or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience with state-of-the-art PCB design tools and methodology.
  2. Proficient with high-speed, mixed-signals, and power conversion design.
  3. Proficient in using electronic lab instruments.
  4. Knowledge of common electronic interfaces.
  5. Proficient with common ECSS standard electronic analyses.
  6. Knowledge of ECSS standard EMC and Sys design.
  7. Knowledge of Space Power and Avionic Unit architecture.
  8. Knowledge of FPGA, microcontroller, and SoC architecture.
  9. Knowledge of RF system.
Language

This role requires professional proficiency in English and fluency in Italian.
