About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Italian Institute for Genomic Medicine (IIGM) and IRCCS FPO Candiolo. The successful candidate will be part of the Giovanni Armenise-Harvard laboratory of Immunity and Cancer, working on fundamental aspects of immune responses related to memory T cell differentiation and long-term protective immunity.

Research Focus

The lab addresses the complex interactions between T lymphocytes and their environment, aiming to understand how these interactions shape epigenetic and differentiation programs that specify T cell fate commitment and function. This knowledge will be used to develop novel strategies for the prevention and treatment of cancer, immunotherapy, and vaccine development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on immune responses and epigenetics, using a variety of approaches, including high-throughput cell-based assays, multiparametric flow cytometry, single-cell multi-omics, and epigenetics tools.
  • Collaborate with the research team to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Contribute to the development of novel strategies for cancer prevention and treatment, immunotherapy, and vaccine development.
  • Present research findings at international conferences and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements
  • PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Strong background and experience in immunology, molecular biology, or epigenetics.
  • First-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals are preferred.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Good communication skills, self-motivation, and teamwork attitude.
