About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Cost Engineer to join our team at our headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for coordinating cost engineering activities from the pre-PEP phase to the end of production.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining technical and technological choices to achieve cost material and project investment targets.
  • Conducting cost analysis and ensuring synchronization with product development timelines, milestones, and project costs.
  • Acting as an interface with Finance, Procurement, and R&D to ensure the synchronization of activities between target definition and value engineering.
  • Supervising change management processes and collecting reporting status to ensure target costs are met.
  • Supporting profitability initiatives and design-to-cost efforts, ensuring active involvement from R&D, After Sales, and Procurement departments.
  • Reporting to the Product Line Director on the main cost status of the project.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with:

  • A degree in Engineering.
  • At least 6 years of experience in managing technical and complex projects.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, and financial principles and processes.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, with German as a plus.
  • Project management skills.
  • Self-confidence, flexibility, and teamwork abilities.
  • Empathy, active listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills.
