Position Overview
Are you ready to embrace a new challenge?
We are seeking a Vehicle Cost Engineer to be a part of our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Product Line Director.
In this role, you will oversee cost engineering initiatives from the early project phases through to production, ensuring alignment with product development timelines, milestones, and budgetary targets.
- Establish technical and technological strategies to meet material costs and project investment goals set by the Finance department.
- Conduct thorough cost analyses.
- Serve as a liaison between Finance, Procurement, and R&D to ensure cohesive activity synchronization from the early phases through the product development lifecycle.
- Manage the change control process and compile status reports to maintain target cost objectives.
- Support profitability initiatives and cost-effective design, ensuring active collaboration with R&D, After Sales, and Procurement departments.
- Provide regular updates to the Product Line Director regarding the project's cost status.
Candidate Profile
- A degree in Engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in managing complex technical projects.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, and financial principles and processes.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Strong project management skills.
- Confidence and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in international teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and active listening.
- Proficient in conflict resolution and communication.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
