Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III to join our team at Amentum. As a Site Lead Mechanic, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of facilities, equipment, and machinery, ensuring all maintenance functions are conducted in accordance with safety directives, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership: Provide daily oversight of maintenance activities, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate the flow of maintenance, supervise maintenance status reporting, and recommend equipment modifications for upgrades.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs, assign and coordinate work for maintenance staff and vendors.
- Technical Expertise: Review and implement mechanical specifications and manuals, coordinate specifications and procurement of capital expenditures, and perform equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Training and Development: Ensure direct reports and maintenance employees receive job and safety training, recommend and initiate personnel actions.
- Experience: Minimum one year of experience as a Site Lead Mechanic, with a minimum of five years of multi-engine, turbo-prop aircraft maintenance experience.
- Certifications: Valid FAA A&P license, valid US Passport, and ability to obtain/maintain United States Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Aircraft Experience: Previous maintenance experience with Metroliner 23, C-26 A/B/C/D, UC-26C, SA227 Metro III, or similar variants.
- Aviation Background: Previous C-26 aircraft and fixed-wing, pressurized, twin-engine turboprops experience.
Safety and Quality: Amentum enforces a safety culture and quality management system, requiring all employees to continuously develop and maintain a safe work environment and adhere to quality policies and procedures.
