Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team at Oilandgas.Org. As a Senior Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to our organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise closely with operational departments to understand business activities and provide financial analysis to support management decision-making.
- Support the Cost Control Coordinator in preparing the annual budget, periodic closing forecasts, and monthly accounting closure.
- Ensure accurate recording of provisions at each accounting closure to recognize operational activities in the accounts.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly cost analysis, reporting, and communication to stakeholders.
- Work with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely processing of incurred costs and revenues.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to be sent to HQ.
- Develop and maintain a periodic operating dashboard report to track cost evolution and provide insights to budget holders.
- Ensure proper management of cost accounting and allocation.
- Verify the correct allocation and availability of budget for invoices within the assigned perimeter.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or Management Engineering, preferably with a focus on Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in finance with a focus on controlling, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken), with French language being a plus.
- Strong technical skills and ability to master databases (Excel) and ERP SAP system.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to identify and manage issues with diplomacy and proactive attitude.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
