Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our Engineering team in Rome, Italy. As a key member of our Modular Design Section, you will be responsible for managing Proposals, Basic Engineering Design, and Detail Engineering Design of Modularized Onshore Projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage all phases of Sea Transportation activities, including Marine and Load-out activities.
- Support structural design of Modules during Sea transportation, providing input data to structural engineers.
- Design and analysis of mooring systems.
- Definition of Vessel motions and sea accelerations on Modules during sea transportation.
- Issue and review of technical part of requisitions, bid analysis, and Purchase Orders.
- Issue and review of naval deliverables related to Load-out / Load-in phase.
- Review of technical documentation issued by Transport Vessel Contractors.
- Coordination with the Marine Warranty Surveyor and interfacing with other parties to ensure necessary activities related to the load-out, barge transport, off-load, installation of.
- Stability, stowage plans, ballast management, and bollard pull calculations for barges and Modules according to Noble Denton requirements.
- Developing concept and detailed lifting arrangements, SPMT layouts, deck layouts, and sea-fastenings.
- Grillage and Sea Fastening Design.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Naval Architect with a Master's degree in Marine Architecture/Naval Engineering. You should have a strong background in project management, team leadership, and technical expertise in ship design and offshore projects.
