Alstom is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide senior legal support and expertise to our business units. The successful candidate will have a law degree in business law and at least 7 years of relevant experience in an international business environment or law firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents with an acceptable level of risks.
  • Support the business in all legal and contractual matters, including claim management and dispute settlement.
  • Contractual and legal evaluation of tender documents.
  • Support the business in proactively managing and instructing litigation, arbitration or other dispute matters.
  • Handling of corporate law matters.
  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Requirements
  • Mandatory: Law degree in business law (Master II).
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in an international business environment or law firm.
  • Familiar with international contracts.
  • Previous exposure to international practice through studies or work experience.
  • Familiar with public tenders.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Open-minded and solution-oriented.
  • Teamwork spirit.
  • Ability to provide sound risk analysis and reasoning.
  • Willingness to take initiatives and responsibilities.
  • Proactivity responsiveness.
