Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to join our team at FAO. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing project monitoring and evaluation systems, supporting the definition of project indicators, and ensuring that the baseline data for the project are properly defined.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elaborate and submit a work plan to the project coordinator and FAO Brazil supervisors.
  • Review and update the project Results Framework and Theory of Change, making recommendations to adapt it to the needs of the project.
  • Ensure that the baseline data for the project are properly defined and that feasible methods are available at reasonable cost for their completion.
  • Create a system to periodically assess project indicators and monitoring tools.
  • Support senior colleagues in defining and agreeing with main project stakeholders methodologies, timelines, roles, and responsibilities for data collection, processing, quality assurance, systematization, and dissemination.

Requirements:

  • Full university degree in Social Sciences or Agricultural Sciences.
  • At least five years of experience working with project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Working knowledge of English and Portuguese.
  • Brazilian Nationality or other legally authorized to work in Brazil.
