Job Title: Production Planner

At Sherwin-Williams, we are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team in Pianoro, Italy.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Production Planner to schedule orders on production lines, plan and schedule orders within the relevant time period, and review and adjust schedules based on customer orders, production problems, and material needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Schedule orders on production lines, taking into account product mix, demand forecast, customer orders, current inventories, and line capacity.
  2. Plan and schedule orders within the relevant time period, ensuring compliance with OTMIS/OTIF.
  3. Review and adjust schedules based on customer orders, production problems, material needs, and other areas as required.
  4. Determine appropriate supply of products based on potential demand for goods.
  5. Analyze and interpret reports on plant operations, resource and personnel needs, efficiency, cycle times, on-time service, sales/customers, and determine operational or scheduling changes to improve plant performance.
  6. Serve as a liaison between production operations and other areas, such as sales, customer service, production, shipping and receiving, and other departments regarding general operations and questions and concerns.
  7. Provide updates in production meetings regarding production schedules, plant performance, and other areas as required.
  8. Assist with coordinating the introduction, modification, or discontinuation of products, including maintaining SKU numbers, inventory and order levels, and product lists, communicating status across departments.
Requirements:
  1. Two/Three years of scheduling, supply chain, or operational experience.
  2. Applying fundamental scheduling and distribution principles and practices.
  3. Reading and responding to constant change environments.
  4. Understanding of basic production and operational principles and practices.
  5. Analyzing a variety of data and developing reports.
  6. Advanced Excel, familiar with standard ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP.
  7. Strong communication skills.
  8. Assertiveness.
  9. Italian/English.
