Key Responsibilities:

Based in our headquarters, as a Buyer, you will be instrumental in identifying both national and international textile suppliers, developing our global sourcing strategy, and implementing short-, medium-, and long-term plans in line with Carnival's requirements while optimizing costs. Your expertise in industry-specific procurement practices will significantly influence our purchasing processes.

Primary Duties:

  • Oversee the procurement process for textile products: navigating through market research, vendor assessments, negotiations, contracts, and post-contract management with precision.
  • Ensure excellence and facilitate high-quality delivery by thoroughly understanding our business requirements and executing effective strategies.

Additional Duties:

  • Serve as the primary liaison and manage the commercial and contractual relationships between Carnival and our category suppliers.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure supplier performance aligns with our organizational goals.
  • Maintain high standards and governance to ensure a continuous supply of essential materials.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in international procurement, category management, or related fields.
  • Strong interest and experience in textile products, particularly in sourcing finished garments while ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Educational background in Economics, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Ability to foster strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and achieve exceptional business results.
  • Proficient in cost optimization through effective negotiation techniques while upholding quality and service standards.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite.
  • Embrace diversity and possess fluent English communication skills.
