Job Summary
As a Group Credit Analyst at MSC Cruises, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Group Credit Controller in all credit finance activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that cash flow processes for all aspects of credit control, credit risk, and other related activities are applied and monitored.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage credit control activities, collaborating with general sales agents to speed up collection and achieve related targets in conjunction with the Markets and Commercial teams.
- Oversee payments follow-up and tracking with the Accounting Department, addressing general sales agents' questions or issues, and handling anomalies (discrepancies between invoiced and received amounts for investigation).
- Be responsible for receivable analysis reporting for General Sales Agents.
- Support the reconciliation of balances between the reservation and accounting systems.
- Ensure the controlling and maintenance of correct payment terms settings according to Company standards.
- Be in charge of controlling and reporting deposit collections and area credit indicators.
- Analyze and manage credit risk for the area, identifying and tracking high-risk/watch list accounts.
- Deal with bad customer debt, centralizing all information pertaining to customer defaults and calculating provision amounts to be recorded by Accounting according to the Loss Allowance matrix.
- May be involved in other purposes/projects, especially regarding the design of IT reports and SAP deployment.
Requirements
- A previous experience in a similar role or in Audit and/or Risk consulting.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting receivable principles.
- Fluent English (written, oral); any additional European language is considered an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools (advanced Microsoft Excel skills).
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Multitasking ability and handling stress and working under pressure capacity.
- Dependable and an effective communicator, self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work in a team environment.
- Availability to business travel.
