JOB PURPOSE

In accordance with MSC CRUISES standards, the Group Credit Analyst plays a crucial role within the Naples Credit management team, assisting the Group Credit Controller in various Credit finance operations. This position ensures that cash flow processes related to credit control and credit risk are effectively implemented and monitored.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


• Oversee credit control operations, collaborating with general sales agents to expedite collections and meet established targets in partnership with Markets and Commercial teams;


• Responsible for tracking payments and coordinating with the Accounting Department, addressing inquiries or issues raised by general sales agents, and managing discrepancies between invoiced amounts and received payments;


• Conduct analysis and reporting on receivables for General Sales Agents;


• Facilitate the reconciliation of balances between the reservation and accounting systems;


• Ensure the proper configuration and maintenance of payment terms in line with MSC CRUISES standards;


• Manage and report on Deposit collections and Area credit metrics;


• Assess and monitor the credit risk within the area, identifying and tracking high-risk or watchlist accounts;


• Address issues related to bad customer debt by centralizing information on customer defaults and calculating provision amounts for Accounting in accordance with the Loss Allowance matrix;


• May participate in additional projects, particularly those involving the design of IT reports and SAP implementation.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)


• Previous experience in a similar capacity or in Audit or Risk consulting;


• Strong grasp of fundamental bookkeeping and accounts receivable principles;


• Proficient in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of any additional European language is a plus;


• Advanced skills in MS Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel;


• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance;


• High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail;


• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure;


• Reliable, effective communicator, self-driven, highly organized, and capable of working collaboratively in a team setting;


• Willingness to travel for business purposes.
