JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to enhance and optimize our Guest processes, Onboard platforms, and their interconnected systems. This role is essential in managing the guest journey from cruise bookings to final disembarkation, with a strong emphasis on improving the guest experience.

The IT Business Analyst is pivotal in driving successful IT initiatives by ensuring that business requirements are accurately articulated, comprehended, and converted into actionable solutions. Acting as a bridge between business and IT teams, they facilitate effective communication to meet project goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, both functional and non-functional. This includes conducting interviews, workshops, and reviewing existing documentation to achieve a thorough understanding of business needs. Analyze current business processes and recommend improved future workflows.


• Partner closely with software developers, designers, and testers to guarantee that requirements are well understood and that the resulting solutions align with business objectives.


• Effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels, including business users, project managers, and senior leadership, to ensure a unified understanding of requirements and project status.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)


• 2 to 3 years of demonstrated experience managing individual tasks within medium to large-scale projects;


• 2 to 3 years of proven experience in multinational or consulting environments;


• Expertise in one of the following business domains - reservations, onboard finance, excursions, spa services, food & beverage, guest relations - will be regarded as a preferential qualification;


• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both business and technical stakeholders;


• Solid experience in process and workflow mapping;


• A robust technical background, with knowledge or practical experience in software development and web technologies;


• Ideally, familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) for hospitality settings;


• Understanding of project management and agile methodologies is advantageous;


• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required;


• Proficiency in English and Italian, both spoken and written;


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong aptitude for critical thinking;
