Position Overview: As the Technical Director at Atir, you will spearhead the planning, execution, and management of photovoltaic energy initiatives, ensuring seamless transitions from conception to operational phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct the technical architecture of solar energy systems, making informed choices regarding technologies, components, and installation equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to uphold quality, safety, and efficiency benchmarks throughout all project phases.
- Conduct comprehensive technical and economic feasibility studies for solar projects, encompassing performance evaluations, energy yield predictions, and risk assessments.
- Foster relationships with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors to guarantee the prompt provision of materials and services essential for photovoltaic system construction.
- Oversee installation and commissioning processes, ensuring adherence to established timelines, budgets, and quality criteria.
- Create and uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the effective operation and maintenance of solar energy systems.
- Work alongside sales and business development teams to pinpoint project opportunities and provide technical insights for commercial proposals.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological innovations in solar energy, identifying avenues for process enhancements and the adoption of new technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline; a postgraduate degree in renewable energy or solar technologies is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the photovoltaic sector, with a track record of managing large-scale solar projects.
- In-depth understanding of design, engineering, and operational principles of photovoltaic systems, along with associated technologies and equipment.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Exceptional communication abilities and a talent for leading and inspiring multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in resolving intricate technical challenges.
- Familiarity with safety and quality regulations pertinent to photovoltaic systems.
- Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as project requirements dictate.
