AI Embedded Systems Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Embedded Systems Developer to join our team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge robotics and mechatronics systems.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement control algorithms for autonomous grasping using advanced AI tools in the embedded domain.
- Address complex grasping scenarios, including cluttered environments and bin picking.
- Deploy production code on embedded control boards using model-based techniques.
- Design and execute experiments to validate algorithms and models.
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with model-based engineering tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
- Basic knowledge of AI-based and machine learning methodologies.
- Good communication skills and ability to cooperate.
- Creative, proactive, and collaborative attitude.
- Proficient in English, written and oral.
- Experience with robot middleware systems such as ROS, ROS2, OPC UA, or YARP.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanical engineering, and control.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, and robotics foundations.
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python.
- Experience with embedded software development.
- Experience with simulation tools.
- Competitive salary package (€60,000 - €80,000 per year)
