In the Space sector, our primary clientele includes space agencies such as the Italian Space Agency and the European Space Agency, along with significant players in the aerospace industry.

Planetek specializes in designing and integrating hardware and software systems for the acquisition, processing, and dissemination of remote sensing data throughout its entire production lifecycle: from Earth Observation to Deep Space; from the Space Segment to the Ground Segment and the User Segment. Our core responsibilities encompass Systems and Software Engineering, with a strong focus on Space Mission Analysis and Design (SMAD).

ROLE OF A FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPER AT PLANETEK ITALIA

As a Front-End Web Developer, your role will involve crafting and sustaining user interfaces that are aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, and efficient. You will collaborate closely with the design team to actualize user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) designs through contemporary web technologies. Beyond frontend development, you will also engage in optimizing web performance, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, conducting testing and debugging, and maintaining the security of our web applications.

You will have the chance to contribute to pioneering projects within the space sector, playing a vital role in developing software solutions and applications that support space missions, satellite systems, and data analysis in the realm of space.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with the design team to convert UX and UI designs into responsive web interfaces. Developing web applications utilizing modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue, along with hybrid mobile app frameworks like Flutter. Adhering to web standards and best practices to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability. Enhancing web performance through techniques such as code minification, lazy loading, and image optimization. Ensuring cross-browser compatibility of web applications across various platforms and devices. Utilizing HTML, CSS, and TypeScript to create engaging and interactive user interfaces. Working with Restful or GraphQL APIs to retrieve and display data within web applications. Employing Figma and graphic design tools to collaborate with the design team and accurately implement designs. Applying Material Design principles to develop visually appealing and cohesive user interfaces. Creating responsive designs that adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes and devices. Conducting comprehensive testing and debugging of web applications to ensure an optimal user experience. Upholding the security of web applications by adhering to best practices and implementing necessary security measures. Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders in both English and Italian.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

Familiarity with server environments and backend technologies. Experience with configuration management systems and version control, particularly Git. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile environments. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Proficiency in package managers such as npm and yarn for dependency management. Basic understanding of graphic design software to collaborate effectively with designers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript. Experience with at least one modern frontend framework like Angular, React, or Vue. Familiarity with Restful or GraphQL APIs. Solid understanding of web standards, best practices, and performance optimization techniques. Experience with Figma or other design collaboration tools. Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities. Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Italian.
