Job Title: Senior Structural and Civil Engineer

SICIM is a leading construction company with a rich history of delivering complex projects in the oil and gas industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural and Civil Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with subcontractor discipline leaders and client lead engineers to ensure seamless project execution
  • Control subcontractor activities and resources to meet project deadlines
  • Review and control civil and structural deliverables, including drawings and calculation reports
  • Collect data necessary for design from other disciplines through site surveys
  • Coordinate with site engineers and construction managers to resolve issues on site
  • Prepare material requisitions and technical bid evaluations
  • Ensure respect of deadlines and follow project schedule
  • Prepare civil and structural discipline specifications and standard drawings
  • Prepare subcontractors' scope of work, MTOs, and method statements
  • Coordinate with internal engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure correct preparation of engineering deliverables
  • Prepare geotechnical and topographical survey scope of work and review survey reports
  • Prepare construction drawings and calculation reports using CAD and FEM software
  • Prepare reports for project engineering manager consolidating progress and highlighting areas of concern
  • Vendor follow-up and review of vendor documentation
  • Manage design changes and technical queries, both internally and with client
  • Verify comments on documents returned from client, identify cost and schedule impact
  • Prepare as-built documents and evaluate impact of changes
Requirements:
  • Masters degree or equivalent in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience in oil and gas industry, with 5 years as Civil and Structural PSL for oil and gas projects
  • Experience as Civil and Structural on oil/gas and petrochemical capital/EPC projects
  • Demonstrated experience of design and engineering of oil and gas production facilities and familiarity with latest engineering methods, practices, and tools
  • Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to use CAD and FEM software (AutoCAD, STAAD.PRO, SAP2000)
