Job Summary:

As a key member of the Trane team, the Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the plant, ensuring alignment with company strategies and policies. This role will involve establishing and achieving short- and long-term objectives, ensuring the viability of the organization, and producing customer orders in compliance with safety, quality, costs, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day activities within the plant to achieve short- and medium-term financial and operating objectives set by the overall organization business plan.
  • Advise on strategic and complex projects, providing necessary support for the successful implementation of plant initiatives, new product introductions, and process improvements.
  • Monitor investments and financial results, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Human Resources, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Production, and Sales, to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment, high morale, and employee engagement.
  • Represent the plant leadership with external contacts.
Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for the results of a production site, including safety, financial performance, on-time delivery, quality levels, operational productivity, and manufacturing capacity aligned with customer demands.
  • Responsible for Safety and Environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Responsible for the production of units, supply chain management, order book management, material management, and unit shipments to customers.
  • Responsible for manufacturing methods and processes, continuous improvement, and Lean indicators.
  • Ensure the management of a team of managers related to the activity of a production site, employee safety and health, identification and implementation of environmental projects, monitoring of quality indicators, development of plant policies and procedures, and guidance on their implementation.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Windchill, Oracle R12, MES, and office pack (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of ERP, PLM tools, and their general functioning.
  • Knowledge of the order cycle and its impacts at each stage.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean tools, product knowledge, manufacturing processes, quality processes, and informatic systems.
Competencies:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good communication and listening skills.
  • Diverse decision-making.
  • Management of a team of managers.
  • Management of a production site in terms of finances.
