Job Title: Resource Mobilization and Partnership Specialist

Job Summary:

The Resource Mobilization and Partnership Specialist will contribute to strengthening FAO's positioning, resource mobilization, and partnerships in response to crisis. The successful candidate will support the development of FAO response plans/appeals, analyze funding and partnership opportunities, and draft an RM action plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of FAO response plans/appeals that clearly articulate priorities, expected results, cost-effectiveness, and the centrality of agriculture to the humanitarian response.
  • Analyze funding and partnership opportunities to support effective donor outreach and resource mobilization.
  • Draft an RM action plan to guide resource mobilization efforts.
  • Support effective donor outreach, including bilateral meetings and partner briefings.
  • Contribute to develop/finalize quality project proposals in line with FAO and donor requirements.
  • Support funding negotiations with resource partners at country level, in close collaboration with OER and PSR, as appropriate.
  • Support and contribute to donor visibility and field visits.
  • Liaise closely with FAO Resource Mobilization and Partnership Units/Team at regional, subregional, and headquarters levels, including PSR, PSU, and OER.

Requirements:

  • Experience in resource mobilization, programme management, partnerships, communication, and advocacy, including work experience with national and international NGOs, UN agencies, governments, and donors.
  • Work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions, is required.
  • Experience in humanitarian contexts is desirable.
