Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our Financial Lines and Cyber strategy in the Southern Europe region. As Head of Underwriting and Risk Management, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for Financial Lines and Cyber & PI Tech business, ensuring the successful achievement of Allianz Commercial targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Financial Lines and Cyber & PI Tech strategy across the Region, ensuring underwriters comply with underwriting authority, pricing, and rating guidelines.
  • Drive underwriting planning process and monitor adherence to plan, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end underwriting life cycle.
  • Work closely with Distribution, Claims, and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross-selling.
  • Ensure underwriting consistency and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Law or Business Administration.
  • Strong experience (min. 7 years) in underwriting profitable Financial Lines business for corporate clients, including Financial Institutions.
  • Proven experience in pure Financial Lines business.
  • Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle.
  • Sound knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills.
