Senior Cloud Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect to join our team at Microsoft. As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a critical role in driving customer satisfaction and value-added adoption of Microsoft's Security Products and Services platforms.

1. Customer Centricity

• Drive positive customer satisfaction and become a trusted advisor, providing feedback and insights from customers and partners.
• Be the voice of the customer, sharing insights and best practices with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering, and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
• Land an end-to-end value proposition for Security, spanning the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, with a focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management, and Cloud Security.

• Share expertise and contribute to Intellectual Property creation and re-use to accelerate customer outcomes.
• Run Architectural Design Sessions to build a plan for implementing the solution, governing design in line with customer business goals and technical environment.
• Collaborate and orchestrate with other CSAs and MS stakeholders, including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting, in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.

• Position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage and develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results and help customers get value from their Microsoft investments.
• Identify resolutions to customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise.
• Deliver according to MS best practices and using repeatable Intellectual Property.
• Accelerate Business Value of overall Security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring that the solution exhibits 'Secure by Design' framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.

• Leverage market insights to assist leadership in defining global vision by identifying relevant areas in which to drive up-skilling.
• Role model effective technical readiness and influence team to drive their own technical readiness.
• Drive and engage others to adapt to changes aligned with solution areas/services priorities.
• Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues by educating them on technical and non-technical concepts and sharing best practices.
• Lead virtual teams around technologies and customer/partner challenges by sharing ideas, insights, and strategic, technical input with technical teams, internal communities across the field, and the larger virtual team across Microsoft using knowledge of Microsoft architectures and their context in the competitive landscape.
• Organize or present at internal events, such as Ready, Build, and Ignite.
• Demonstrate deep industry knowledge and drive recognition for Microsoft solutions through presentations and engagements with external audiences.
• Participate in external technical community events, such as conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, and hackathons, and share learnings across internal teams.

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, and 10+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or Business Applications consulting.
2. OR equivalent experience.
3. Extensive experience working in a customer-facing role, such as internal and/or external.
4. Extensive experience working on technical projects.
5. Technical Certification in Cloud, such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, or security certifications.
6. Threat protection, SIEM, and Incident Response; Extended Detection and Response (XDR); Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR); Security Operation Center Management; Identity and Access Management; Cloud Infrastructure; Cloud Security; Data Security; Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft 365 Security Administrator, Microsoft Security Operations, Cloud Security, CCSP, CEH, OSCP, GSEC.
7. Business Value: The ability to convey the business need and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers.
8. Trusted Advisership: The ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders, such as technical decision makers and business decision makers.
9. Situational fluency: Using self-awareness as a mechanism to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues to increase your ability to 'read the room.'
10. Insightful listening: Asking insightful questions to understand customer needs, issues, business environment, and drivers, and going beyond what is said.
11. Breadth of technical experience and knowledge in foundational AI, architecture design, with depth/Subject Matter Expertise in security.
12. The technical aptitude and experience to learn new cloud security technologies and understand relevant cloud security market trends and knowledge of competitive Landscape of cloud security platforms and competitors.
