Rockwell Automation is a global leader in industrial automation and digital transformation. We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration Specialist to join our team in Bologna, Italy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and integrate AMR systems at client facilities throughout Europe, including on-site deployment and integration with facility-side automation equipment.
  • Design detailed solutions for AMR systems using OTTO Motors products to meet customer requirements, including workflow design, attachment design, map design, and developing/modifying middle layer software logic using Ignition OPC/UA and/or PLC logic.
  • Author and execute acceptance test plans to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Optimize system performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentation.
  • Plan project deliverables and work packages.
  • Communicate technical details and status updates to customers and the broader project team.
  • Consult with integration partners on all technical aspects.
  • Deliver training to integration partners and end-users.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware technical issues using internal tools and solving challenging technical problems.
  • Travel for business within Europe, and occasionally to North America, with a travel commitment of approximately 40-50%.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience commissioning and integrating industrial automated equipment or software with equipment.
  • College/university diploma or degree in engineering, design, or industrial controls.
  • Experience working directly with clients/end-users.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical systems/subsystems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AMR/AGV systems integration.
  • Experience training users of automated equipment/software.
  • Proficiency in authoring and modifying software code (Python, C++, or other).
Location

This role is based in Bologna, Italy, and requires travel within the Europe region. Flexibility to travel internationally, including to North America for training.
