In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and scalability of network systems tailored to specific needs. You will play a key role in shaping the network strategy at JM Huber Corporation, providing consultation and support to IT teams and various business units on all network-related projects and initiatives.
Acting as a representative for network technology in all portfolio projects, you will guide stakeholders in designing their requirements in alignment with the global technology strategy. Your collaboration with engineering teams and the enterprise networking team will be essential to ensure that projects adhere to established network standards and strategies. Additionally, you will participate in the 2nd Level Support and escalation process, focusing on network technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional network service to enable JM Huber to utilize the latest technologies in accordance with industry best practices, ensuring a highly available network infrastructure with a solid understanding of IT/OT services. Manage the lifecycle of standard network equipment, including maintaining valid service contracts and planning replacements in line with lifecycle announcements. Conduct ongoing demand analysis and spearhead network improvement initiatives. Optimize, manage, and troubleshoot various network components, including LAN (Cisco and Cisco Meraki), Wireless LAN (Cisco and Cisco Meraki), firewalls (Fortinet), and data connections (MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN). Plan, present, and execute network infrastructure initiatives. Maintain and implement new network standards and processes. Engage in all aspects of development and operational areas, designing cloud network connectivity architecture. Research, analyze, and recommend technical solutions for complex development and integration challenges. Manage medium-sized local network projects. Document changes, architecture, and issues effectively. Ensure continuous network availability.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proven experience in migrating and deploying current standard solutions. Over 5 years of experience with Meraki/Cisco technologies, including switching, routing, firewall management, TCP/IP networking, VLAN management, and LAN/Wireless LAN. At least 3 years of experience in designing and developing high availability network architectures. Experience in planning and implementing LAN and wireless networks in a corporate environment. Ability to conduct wireless network surveys and create heatmaps using various tools. Proficient in installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment such as switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, DNS, and DHCP. Strong expertise in CISCO Meraki Switching, including STP, RSTP, MST, LAN tuning, VTP, VLANs, and a solid understanding of MAC/CAM/ARP tables. Proficient in addressing mechanisms (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and L1 technologies (SMF, MMF, DWDM, transceivers). Skilled in packet analysis (Wireshark) and troubleshooting packet decode on TCP and UDP. Extensive experience with cabling technologies, including Category 5, Category 6A, and fiber optics. In-depth knowledge of Meraki/Cisco product features, including disaster recovery and remote management. Familiarity with ITIL Change & Configuration Management. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in network environments. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively. Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous. Willingness to travel internationally as required.We look forward to your interest in this opportunity.
