At Amazon Italia Logistica S.R.L., we are seeking a skilled Health & Safety Operations Manager to oversee the safety protocols within our Fulfilment Centre (FC).


The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, coordinating, and enhancing safety measures, quality standards, and productivity levels, collaborating closely with Operations Management teams to elevate the service quality provided to our customers.


Key Responsibilities:
You will be accountable for various operational aspects in your designated area, including personnel management, performance metrics, productivity goals, and process enhancements.

Your duties will encompass:

  • Overseeing the health and safety operations at the FC, including staff supervision to ensure the achievement of objectives.
  • Actively participating in collaborative health and safety initiatives across all operational sites.
  • Offering expert advice and guidance on health & safety issues to all stakeholders within your area of responsibility, while promoting a culture of behavioral change across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
  • Conducting reviews and audits of health & safety management systems and continuously seeking improvements.
  • Developing strategies to organize work systems that minimize health & safety risks and recommending appropriate modifications to equipment, machinery, and processes. Providing management information and statistics related to your area of oversight.
  • Facilitating business transformations through effective change management processes within the dynamic Fulfilment Center environment.
  • Implementing and reviewing global safety policies to ensure compliance with local legislative requirements. Establishing robust reporting systems for health & safety statistics.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification with substantial health & safety management experience, ideally in a warehouse setting.
  • A degree-level education.
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
  • A flexible work approach, capable of managing personal priorities and workload effectively.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience operating at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing abilities in both English and Italian, with a results-oriented and tenacious mindset.
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant EU health & safety legislation.
  • The credibility and strategic skills to foster buy-in for change initiatives.
  • A demonstrable history of driving significant operational changes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies
Environmental qualifications or experience are advantageous.
