Hill's Pet Nutrition is a leading company dedicated to delivering exceptional nutrition to pets and their owners. We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castiglione delle Stiviere, Italy.
About the RoleThe Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing, designing, building, planning, executing, and closing automation and Continuous Improvement projects. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high reliability and productivity of machinery and automated production systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and coordinate automation project planning, execution, and closing;
- Participate in Project Management Plans and Processes;
- Provide technical expertise to configure, maintain, and troubleshoot plant equipment and systems;
- Maintain, develop, and improve Plant Floor Systems by modifying PLC, SCADA, and HMI applications;
- Identify, analyze, and solve problems/malfunctions of Plant Floor Systems;
- Research and advise on automated production systems;
- Share knowledge and develop skills of others in the team;
- Take initiatives to optimize working activities;
- Understand and apply company standards, including Safety, Food Safety, Sustainability, Performance, Reliability, Finance, Security, and Risk Management.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in electrical and automation engineering, as well as experience in a manufacturing environment. Requirements- Bachelor in Engineering/Technical field;
- 3/5 years of engineering experience in integration, production, or supply chain environments with an automation focus;
- RPA certification (Robotic Process Automation);
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably food).
