About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Engineer to join our team at Vertiv, a leading provider of critical infrastructure solutions. As a Control Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing control architecture from a firmware and hardware standpoint, creating functional and architectural specifications, and defining validation tests in accordance with standard procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design control architecture specifications in an international environment, working closely with firmware and hardware teams.
  • Analyze software already implemented to understand its functionalities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the testing team in defining test plans and reviewing test results to ensure software meets design requirements.
  • Test and validate software in accordance with standard procedures, ensuring it meets the necessary standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other functions during the definition of product specifications, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical support to the service team, both remotely and on-site, to resolve customer issues and improve product performance.
  • Produce technical documentation in line with process requirements, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Closed-loop techniques, including discrete control, CLARK & PARK, D/Q & Alpha/Beta dominions, PWM modulation, and space vector.
  • Control modeling for MATLAB & Simulink.
  • Proficiency in Language C.
  • Understanding of main operating systems concepts, including processes, memory management, file systems, and task manager.
  • Knowledge of software versioning tools, such as CVS, SVN, and GIT.
  • Knowledge of power converters.
  • Customer-oriented and availability to travel.
  • Good team working attitude and communication skills.
  • Good English language knowledge.
  • Education: University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1-5 years of experience.
