The Role

As a Clinical Applications Engineer within our Electrophysiology (EP) division, you will play a crucial role in delivering specialized guidance and support regarding the Abbott EP product range within your designated area.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver expert clinical advice, training, and assistance on the application of all EP products during electrophysiological interventions in medical facilities (catheter labs) Stay informed on the latest technical advancements and emerging therapies within the field, including knowledge of competitor offerings, while maintaining a broad understanding of the healthcare landscape; engage in discussions about leading industry products and services Address common client inquiries and react promptly to unforeseen customer demands with urgency and a proactive approach Offer technical assistance to the EP sales team; effectively communicate insights and collaborate on product positioning and complex case management with sales representatives; engage with healthcare professionals regarding the full spectrum of Abbott EP offerings Recognize the business objectives of both internal and external stakeholders, understanding sales goals and market trends, and articulate desired or actual business outcomes in quantifiable terms

Essential Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline or equivalent experience Preferably, clinical experience in electrophysiology or cardiac rhythm management, or a similar role within the industry Familiarity with catheter lab and surgical procedures, along with a solid understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology is preferred Excellent communication skills, with a focus on active listening and effective questioning Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% of the time) and the ability to work independently; adapt your schedule to the duration of procedures and manage irregular work hours
