We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at STERIS Canada Corporation. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems for our capital equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply electrical engineering principles to select sensors, actuators, and controls for machine control solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve good design, including external contact with suppliers and other engineering disciplines.
- Plan and carry out feasibility tests, verification, and validation of electrical systems, and create technical documentation according to medical standards.
- Perform fault mode and root cause analyses to provide solutions.
- Confirm electrical system capabilities and quality by designing testing methods and evaluating properties.
- Provide electrical guidance to project designers and technicians.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in control systems, sensor selection, and actuator control.
- Practical knowledge of electromechanical laboratory equipment.
- Ability to use ECAD and PLM Systems.
- Basic understanding of electromechanical and fluid mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations and standards.
