Our team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our project REPLY - Reshaping Photocatalysis via Light-Matter Hybridization in Plasmonic Nanocavities. This ERC-funded project aims to develop novel hybrid nanophotonic systems for photocatalytic applications.
Key Responsibilities- Theoretical and numerical approaches for hybrid nanophotonic systems, focusing on light-matter interaction under strong coupling regime.
- Multi-scale electromagnetic modeling of nanomaterials and related phenomena at the nanoscale.
- Computational catalyst design towards hybrid nanosystems and sustainable plasmonic chemistry.
- PhD in physics, material science, or related disciplines.
- Advanced knowledge of software packages for designing, analyzing, and optimizing nanophotonic systems.
- Proficiency in the analysis and interpretation of near- and far-field response of plasmonic metasurfaces.
- Documented experience in predictive optical modeling of nanophotonic/plasmonic architectures for photocatalytic applications.
- A strong publication record.
- Ability to properly report, organize, and publish research data.
- Documented experience in coaching junior scientists.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
