About the Position:

The Air Force Institute Of Technology is seeking a highly skilled Ammunition Logistics Coordinator to join their team. This term appointment will be filled for up to 3 years, with potential extensions beyond six years with DoD approval.

Applicants must have relevant experience and be able to demonstrate independence in performing complex tasks, including handling CLASS V supply items, small-guided missiles, and associated residue and packing materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing duties with high degree of independence
  • Handling CLASS V supply items and small-guided missiles
  • Working in areas that may be extremely hot, below freezing, damp, drafty, or poorly lighted
  • Adhering to fire, safety, and security regulations
  • Wearing protective clothing and equipment
Requirements:

Applicants must have the ability to do the work of an Ammunition Materials Handler without more than normal supervision. Relevant experience and skills include:

  • Ability to interpret instructions and specifications
  • Dexterity and safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, and repair
  • Use of measuring instruments
  • Physical effort: standing, bending, walking, lifting, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing, and crouching
