Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation and Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing instrumentation and automation systems for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Project Technical Specifications: Develop and prepare project technical specifications in line with client requirements.
- Quality and HSE Objectives: Ensure that all projects meet quality and HSE objectives.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reporting on engineering and requisitioning activities to the Instrumentation Engineering/Requisitioning Leader.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activity of a small group of drafters, junior/intermediate designers, and/or junior/intermediate engineers.
- Design Review: Review 3D design for instrumentation, including cable tray routings, instrument positioning, and other related tasks.
- Calculations and Design Documents: Prepare, update, and check calculations for instrumentation detailed engineering, as well as prepare and check instrumentation design documents such as instrument lists, instrument datasheets, cable routings, layouts, cross sections, cable lists, hook-up drawings, and mounting details.
- Quantity Review: Review and monitor quantities coming from Instrument Bulk MTO's.
- Vendor Management: Review vendor bids, prepare technical bids evaluation, and ensure that contractual technical specifications are met by the suppliers.
- Communication and Follow-up: Ensure proper communication with vendors and technical follow-up of orders.
- Vendor Drawing Review: Review vendor drawings.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 5-6 years of experience in detailed engineering and design of instrumentation systems for refinery, gas, power, renewables, and infrastructure projects in a similar position.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
