About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon Italia Transport Srl.

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Area Managers and driving operational excellence across our sites.

You will analyze shift performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a team of Area Managers
  • Leading operational teams on a shift, addressing issues, and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyzing shift performance against business objectives and implementing actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborating with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Designing and delivering initiatives to improve operational performance

A typical day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics, and mentoring and coaching your team.

You will be a source of leadership and support your team to be the best managers they can be.

About Amazon Logistics

Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses.

We utilize creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers.

Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
