Join ERM as a Climate Change Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual with a passion for sustainability to help corporate and financial services sector clients manage the opportunities and risks posed by low carbon economy transition and other sustainability issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GHG accounting and reporting principles, mechanisms, methodologies, and schemes, as well as experience in managing small to mid-sized projects.

The role involves working alongside a team of professionals to help clients in the financial and corporate sectors solve challenges in the field of climate change inventories and target setting, LCA studies, sustainability strategy development and execution, and sustainable finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze GHG data
  • Undertake calculations and performance evaluation
  • Define GHG targets based on science
  • Prepare client reports and presentations

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical degree
  • Relevant experience in sustainability consulting / ESG strategy and roadmaps/climate change / related industry position
  • Good experience and knowledge of GHG accounting and reporting principles, mechanisms, methodologies, and schemes
  • Able to proactively identify and suggest suitable methodologies for GHG inventories and target setting
  • Knowledge of climate change and the transition to a low carbon economy, and the key climate, and ESG, related regulatory, supervisory, and market drivers
  • Experience of managing small/mid-sized projects or tasks within larger projects
  • Efficient and effective project planning (managing work and deliverables)
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good technical writing skills and ability to synthesize reports to a very high standard
  • Fluent in Italian and English
