Job Title: Asset Manager Renewables Italy

Alpiq Energia Italia S.p.A. is seeking a highly skilled Asset Manager Renewables Italy to join our team in Milano, Italy.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented professional to support the management of renewable energy assets in Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our renewable energy assets, managing contracts, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all contractual, obligation, and compliance aspects related to assigned contracts (e.g., O&M agreements, LTSA, SLA, Energy Management) in accordance with Group guidelines and strategy, involving relevant departments and ensuring adequate coordination;
  • Maintain contact with the Finance department for accounting, taxes, treasury, planning, controlling & reporting activities and preparation of financial statements and other relevant reports for assigned companies;
  • Support the Legal department on technical and regulatory matters related to Asset Companies and Corporate Governance, particularly in preparing materials for Board of Directors meetings;
  • Support the management of Project Finance contracts (specifically on reporting, covenant calculation, and updating financial models) and interact directly with banks;
  • Monitor and analyze regulatory updates and incentives (certificates, conventions, cogeneration, photovoltaic incentives, and guarantees of origin);
  • Prepare business plans and budgets for assigned companies with the goal of maximizing asset profitability; Manage the interface with O&M Operators for technical support;
  • Verify and monitor energy metering of plants, managing directly the process of active billing to ensure regular revenue flow to companies;
  • Verify technical reports and request additional clarification when necessary to ensure adequate monitoring of plant performance. Collaborate with technical areas to ensure availability of resources for implementing improvement initiatives;
  • Manage contractual obligations with dispatching users, the market, the grid manager, the regulator, and/or other institutions regarding contractual or market requirements;
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders of assigned companies and coordinate their activities in case of regulatory or compliance requirements;
  • Manage contractual relationships with landowners for surface rights of assets and ensure compliance with existing economic obligations.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in one of the following fields: economics of financial markets, economics and commerce, engineering management;
  • At least 4/5 years of experience in companies operating in the renewable energy sector, with at least 2 years in an equivalent role;
  • Excellent knowledge of financial market regulations;
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills;
  • Excellent asset allocation and risk management techniques;
  • Good attention to and ability to read regulatory and compliance aspects;
  • Predisposition to teamwork and relationship with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Good problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of office software (Office, SAP);
  • Good knowledge of the English language (B2 level minimum);
  • The knowledge of the German language is a plus.
