Geiger Food Ingredients Recruitment & Consulting is seeking a dynamic leader for an esteemed international Food Ingredients organization with a comprehensive network of manufacturing facilities, sales offices, and research and development centers.

Position: General Manager - Food Ingredients Europe

Location: Northern Italy (Onsite)

Role Overview:

This position is strictly B2B; candidates must possess substantial experience in Flavours, Colours, Extracts, Dried Fruits, Vegetables, and other value-added Food Ingredients, excluding FMCG.

  • Leadership Responsibilities: Oversee Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, and New Product Development.
  • Expertise Required: Proven specialization in Food Ingredients with a solid background in the European market.
  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute annual business plans and market share objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Capable of managing a diverse team across Finance, Operations, Sales, Business Development, R&D, and NPD.
  • Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement a growth-oriented commercial strategy focused on new product areas and emerging markets.
  • Business Growth: Drive profitable business growth and ensure commercial success.
  • Qualifications: MBA from a reputable institution with 15-20 years of experience in the Food B2B sector.
  • Operational Oversight: Responsible for the overall business operations with a focus on revenue growth and profitability enhancement.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and additional local languages, such as Italian, is preferred.

Key Tasks:

This role is distinctly different from FMCG positions and is not suitable for candidates with experience in hotel management.

Candidate Requirements:

Applicants must have a proven track record in a General Manager role within the Food Ingredients sector in Europe.
